Christopher E. Rodriguez is an Application Support Engineer at Microsoft with a passion for technology and building software. He believes in combining the humanities with technology and writes his apps by bringing together art and engineering, user experience, and innovation. Christopher has developed several apps in Android (Java, Kotlin), iOS (Swift), and Flutter (Dart) including a satellite imagery app that allows users to view imagery of the Earth's surface for scientific observations. He hopes that his apps will make a difference to people around the world. Christopher has 7.54 years of relevant experience and has worked as a Software Engineer at The Softpository LLC and as an Android Developer Freelancer at Samaschool. At The Softpository LLC, he utilized high customer service skills to assist UTA campus apartment residents with on-campus related issues and programs, and at Samaschool, he managed the assessment of medical samples from all over North Texas. He accurately processed 10,000+ samples daily to ensure the health of 10,000+ North Texas residents. Christopher has a Bachelor of Science in Geology/Earth Science GIS and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from The University of Texas. He also has a GIS Certification from The University of Texas and has completed a Grow with Google Android Developer Scholarship Nanodegree and a Data Analyst Nanodegree, Bertlesmann Scholarship from Udacity. Aside from his work, Christopher mentors and teaches Taekwondo self-defense and competition techniques to 40+ college students/staff per semester. He also helps and develops students to compete in 10+ forms and sparring competitions per year.
